The Independence Centre and Network’s Post Stroke Transitional Care Program made the Ontario health minister’s team-based honour roll for excellence in health quality and safety on Oct. 20.

“The fact that we’re getting recognized at a provincial level is really nice,” said Rebecca Bowes, regional co-ordinator for the program, which helps people across northeastern Ontario recover after a stroke.

Bowes and her colleagues received the honour at the Health Quality Ontario Transformation Conference in Toronto.
