The Ontario Stroke Network’s (OSN) Professional Stroke Education Inventory is a repository of tools, resources and programs that support health care professionals working in stroke care.
OSN’s Ontario Regional Education Group (OREG) developed this Inventory in 2012 after a review of the previous edition (Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Prof Ed Atlas). OREG acknowledges the collaborative input from the Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) that was received during that process.
There are many sources of information related to stroke care. This Inventory organizes resources in alphabetical order and each resource is available by clicking on its link.
As more resources become available for certain aspects of stroke care, and with many regions producing valuable tools, resources and programs that may deserve to be included, the Inventory is expected to grow and become more comprehensive over time. Every effort is made to include those tools, programs and resources that are in line with the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Recommendations.
OREG is committed to identifying gaps then seeking out or developing resources to fill those gaps for select stroke care topics. Proposed additions to the PSEI can be sent to OREG by contacting email@example.com.
Expected users of the Professional Stroke Education Inventory include planners, administrators, educators, and direct providers of stroke care across the continuum, within the Ontario Stroke System.
